Mountain Brigade Unit Badge
This project centered on designing the official badge for the newly established Mountain Brigade, a combat division operating across Mount Hermon and Mount Dov. The badge was created to embody the spirit of mountain warfare, symbolize the unique conditions of the terrain, and foster unity and pride among its fighters.

The Goal:
The primary goal was to design a bold and meaningful badge that would capture the essence of the Mountain Brigade. The badge needed to honor the brigade’s mission of defending Israel’s northern border, while visually connecting to the natural environment of snow, rock, and high-altitude combat. Beyond its graphic role, the badge was meant to inspire pride, strengthen identity, and serve as a unifying emblem for every soldier wearing it.

The Challenge:
The challenge was to translate the unique reality of mountain combat into a simple, recognizable, and symbolic design. The emblem had to balance clarity with depth: the Hermon and Dov mountains, the bright skies of the north, and the sword representing the spirit and determination of the fighters. At the same time, it needed to stand alongside the IDF’s broader system of insignia, while still giving the brigade its own distinctive presence.

The Result
The final badge achieved a strong visual identity that soldiers could immediately connect with. Its combination of mountains, sky, and sword symbolized resilience, spirit, and the demanding conditions of mountain warfare. The clean, modern style ensured recognizability across uniforms, flags, and official use. Today, the Mountain Brigade badge stands as a powerful symbol of unity and pride, representing both tradition and the future of combat in Israel’s northern front.
